Beth Young will display her “Currents: The Journey of Water” exhibition at Viewpoint Photographic Art Center on Second Saturday, August 11, 2018 from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
The Currents series is borne of a reverence for the life blood that sustains us all: water. This series examines the various forms it takes as it circulates throughout the Earth, from clouds and mist in the atmosphere, to ocean waves and thundering waterfalls’ to calm reflections. Throughout this process, water changes it’s state of being several times: ever-changing, refracting light, carving through stone, timeless, sensual, always steadfast.
“Dripping water hollows out stone, not through force but through persistence.” - Ovid
