Michael Misha Kennedy master of acrylics. Kennedy explores conversations in color and form through his eye catching abstracts. He combines the stylistic accomplishment of Impressionism with modern subject matter and technique. His background in design and Master of Acrylics title are evident in his bright, eye-catching canvases, where geometric patterns and additional textures make these paintings into decorative objects. Kennedy says he rotates the canvasses as he works on abstract paintings giving the works a sense of movement and life. He seeks a conflict or tension between hues, patterns, theories and textures; he says it mimics what we see in nature. Combining many layers of glaze work along with the resin helps to draw the light through the layers of his work producing depth of color and hues through the tissue paper layers.
“Pure Abstract” with Michael Misha Kennedy will be on display March 7th-April 3rd at Best of Sacramento ‘Best Art Gallery’ Kennedy Gallery at the corner of 20th & L Street.
